
Terence Chandler, B.Sc., P.Geo
President, Chief Executive Officer and Director
Mr. Chandler obtained his B.Sc degree in geology from Carleton University, Ottawa in 1975. Mr. Chandler joined Redfern Resources Ltd. in 1993 as Vice President Exploration to advance the Tulsequah project through feasibility. He became President in 1995 and has overseen the permitting and development of the Tulsequah project and other Company acquisitions.
Mr. Chandler has been actively engaged in the mineral exploration industry for 31 years. He worked for Falconbridge Limited from 1976 through 1986 in the Caribbean, Africa and Canada, primarily on base-metal and gold properties. In 1986 he joined Homestake Canada and was responsible for gold exploration in central Canada and the NWT.
Wayne J. Babcock, P. Geoph.
Director
Mr. Babcock holds a degree in Geophysics from the University of British Columbia. He was previously founder and President of Dynamic Oil and Gas Inc. and is currently the President and CEO of Shellbridge Oil & Gas Inc.
Before founding Dynamic in 1979, Wayne joined Amoco Canada Petroleum Company Ltd. in 1966 where he managed Amoco's geophysical exploration of Saskatchewan and southern Alberta Canada's western sedimentary basin. Wayne is a member of the Alberta Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists, the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists, the Canadian Institute of Energy and has been twice nominated for an Entrepreneur of the Year award by Ernst and Young (2002 and 2003).
Peter J. Dey
Director
Mr. Dey is a well known senior corporate executive and an experienced corporate Director. He is currently Chairman of Paradigm Capital Inc., an independent investment dealer, and Chairman of Addax Petroleum Corporation. Mr. Dey is a former Chairman of the Ontario Securities Commission and former Chairman of Morgan Stanley Canada, and he was a Senior Partner of Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt. In 1994 he chaired the Toronto Stock Exchange Committee on Corporate Governance, and has since been involved with developing global corporate governance standards as Vice-Chairman of the OECD Task Force on Board Room Practices, and as Chairman of the Private Sector Advisory Group of the Global Corporate Governance Forum. Peter holds a Master of Laws degree from Harvard University, a Bachelor of Laws Degree from Dalhousie University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Queen’s University.
Robert G. Carmichael
Director
Mr. Carmichael is a professional engineer and previously acted as an officer of the Company since 2002 in the capacity of Vice President, Exploration. During this time he was instrumental in preparing and managing exploration activities for the Company and evaluating acquisition opportunities. Prior to this and since 1995, Mr. Carmichael was Vice President, Exploration for Redfern Resources Ltd., the Company’s wholly-owned subsidiary.
